having some fun now

Well, the last few weeks have been interesting to say the least. I celebrated my 36th birthday. It was a mellow evening just hanging out with my family.

Last weekend our neighbors and my in laws held a luau. They roasted a pig and everything. It was hotter than hell but it was pretty fun. It's just weird because I didn't really know anyone so I mostly just hung out with my brother in law, which is fine by me. Grumpy was smoking the pig so he was busy. The funniest moment was when after swimming I got Hoho naked so I could change his clothes and we were walking along the side of the pool while the song Sexy Back was playing. I swear he was smiling and strutting along like OH Yea Baby! Plus his nana got him this new shirt that says Chicks Dig Me, so he thinks he's all that. It's pretty funny.

Yesterday, Little Bear, had his tonsils and adenoids removed. The surgery was very quick and he came through it like a champ. It was a good thing we got them out because the Dr. said his tonsils were huge and his adenoids were blocking his nasal passages. He's doing pretty well, except he cries and throws up when we give him his medicine. And this morning he won't drink anything and he's pretty whiny (that part isn't unusual). He keeps asking for orange juice and I keep telling him that it will sting. I'm not cruel enough to just give it to him and let him see for himself. I had my tonsils out when I was 22 and I remember how horrible it was, so I feel for him.

There is more going on, inner turmoil and all, but I don't feel comfy talking about it here right now. So for now, that is all.
