hives alive

I woke up on Monday with hives on my wrists. Itchy. By bedtime it had spread to every conceivable spot on my body. My fingers swelled to sausage sized proportion and throbbed. Even the bottoms of my feet itched and I swear to jeebus my hair hurt. I didn't need collagen injections in my lips. I looked like I peeled off Angelina jolie's lips and glued them over my own. Which wouldn't be too bad if the rest of my face weren't swollen up like the elephant man. I've been od'ing on Benadryl and even went the Dr. yesterday for a Cortizone shot. I was making people in the waiting room start to itch. The Dr. said she had never seen hives so bad and that I should be very careful to make sure it didn't start to affect my breathing. I should go straight to the ER if I felt like i was going to have an asthma attack. Great.

The swelling has subsided mostly by now but the itching hasn't stopped in the least bit. The worst part is I have no flipping clue as to what may have set this off. I made an appointment with an allergist but couldn't get in for another week.

Please pray for the itching to stop soon, before I go insane!

In other news, we took Little Duck, Little Bear and Uncle Cakes to the zoo last week. It was awesome. All the animals were out and active. We had a black panther rubbing on a tree and making the wildest noises. I've never experienced anything like it before. Truly amazing. I'll post pictures today.

Duck got his two front teeth and is walking all around the furniture.

Last week Little Bear had to go to Children's Hospital for an EEG and we had to make sure he was sleep deprived. We had to keep him up until 11 pm and wake him up at 4 am, then keep him awake until his test at 8am. Please kill me if I ever have to do that again. That same night we had to keep him awake late I ate something bad so I was throwing up about five minutes before we had to leave the house the next morning. It was great fun. Grumpy was actually not terribly grumpy, which is always a happy bonus.

Other than that it snowed in the Superstition mountains which we can see from the bedroom. It actually got cold and rainy for a few days. I felt like I was back in Seattle (I wish).
