sentimental fool
I am a little sad today and I feel really stupid about it. We recently acquired an ADA mini-van (God I can't believe I drive a friggin mini-van) with a ramp and all for Little Bear and his chair.
It's pretty cool, but it meant parting with my beloved Ford Explorer.
We took her in for a little oil change before we put it up for sale and the news came back that she has some kind of obnoxious leak that would cost about $1500 to fix, so instead of fixing it up or selling her to some unsuspecting sap, we decided to donate her to charity.
Last night we dropped her off and it was like she knew! She stalled on the way there and died off as we pulled into the driveway. I actually cried some as we drove away leaving her there! Stupid old girl I am. But she was awesome. She lasted through a million trips to the dog park and a million more trips to Little Bear therapy and school and she even took us safely to Arizona and back. Did I mention the push bar on the front that could be used to help stranded motorists or intimidate people who pissed me off. :)
I am happy to report that she will buy a whole lot of cat food and litter for all the kitties at Whisker City. So long old girl.
