a wee break from the spooky stories
I'm trying to decide what Little bear should be for Halloween this year. To date he has been a pumpkin, a tiger and Elmo. I do love the little furry outfits. Let me know if you have any good (and cheap ) ideas.

In my family, it's a right of passage that every single child be a clown at least once. As the oldest I started it, and since all my siblings and cousins have been a clown, and in fact have used the exact same costume I had those 25 years ago.

Just remember, this is probably the last year that YOU have any say in what he's going to be. After this year he'll want to choose. So, I think you should use your powers...for evil, evil embarrassment. Something you can pull out pictures of in the future that make him hate you ;)

Armaedes - I was a clown when I was five and my pants split as we played duck duck goose. I am too traumatized by that memory to make Little Bear be a clown!
Melanie - I didn't even think about trying to humiliate him. God, what kind of mother am I?
(shakes head)

I love the costumes where it looks like the kid is riding a horse, but it's just a fake set of legs. (We're going with Pooh and Strawberry Shortcake this year)

One year, I was a sheepdog made out of mop heads from a janitorial supply...

SJ - I do like those too. Oh I love pooh! that sounds so wrong. You have to post pics afterwards.
Pisser - So glad you stopped by! I love that idea but I forgot to mention that I am far too lazy to make that kind of effort. :)
